The backyard hummingbirds were great fun in 2023. This is Sergeant Humphrey saluting me as I got within five feet of him. I named him Sergeant Humphrey because he would come in the morning and late afternoon and sit on my Hummingbird Tree and guard the feeder. The name Humphrey originates from the Old German and means "peaceful warrior." I was able to get a number of photos of the general "saluting" me.
